Cobra Studio's industrial live-work art studios were purposefully designed to address the needs of Austin's creative community, offering spacious, well-built spaces for both living and working. The development is built with sustainability in mind, exceeding the stringent requirements of Austin Energy's Green Building Program with a 5 Star Rating. With only six studios per single-story building, it maintains a low environmental footprint across its four-building layout, housing a total of 24 studios on two acres, complete with a lush half-acre courtyard irrigated by a rainwater collection system. Large window walls provide an inviting indoor-outdoor connection to the garden area, and hidden vehicular parking contributes to a tranquil, park-like atmosphere. Constructed primarily with steel, aluminum, and concrete, the studios feature acoustically rated insulated concrete block walls, highly insulated roofing, and energy-efficient systems. Additionally, the studios offer a range of modern amenities, including art gallery-style lighting, wireless security, and high-quality finishes in the kitchen and bathroom, making Cobra Studio a thriving hub for creativity and sustainability.
